A Masterpiece Ahead Of Its Time | Ourwa by Demishio

I genuinely cannot believe I am writing out the description for this video, yet here we are... Originally, I saw this level after discovering Demishio via his Kyouki verification process. I gave it a practice run and immediately found the level to be annoying to play, so I decided to put it on the back burner for the moment. After Maymory had just ended, I gave it another practice run and IMMEDIATELY got hooked by it. I even managed to get 99% in quite literally 17 days from starting it. (It took 78 days total to beat ;-;) I was planning to do this level in secret but ended up not wanting to try and regain consistency off-stream, at that point it had been 2 months since a later proper stream from me, so I changed that. After the 99% death, I didn't lose my motivation for the level per se, but other things caught my interest more, I got super distracted, I made excuses thinking, "I have 99%, I can come back at any moment with how consistent it is." While I'm not wrong, to actually consistently get far in this level you MUST play it very often, at least in my experience I needed to play it once every 1 - 2 days to remain consistent at the level. But enough about my experiences and my short-comings with this, let me talk about the level more and why it is such a masterpiece. While this level is daunting at first and arguably looks like it wouldn't play well, I have genuinely never played a level that is more consistent, satisfying, and consistently fun as this level is. Of any level on the list, this is probably the most accessible one currently on there despite it's high extended list placement, while this levels learning curve is incredibly high, and admittedly it is incredibly difficult, it is still incredibly doable based on how well it plays! This is honestly probably my favourite extreme in terms of gameplay, nothing else I've beaten matches it's quality. The amount of meticulous care Demishio put into every single input of this level is beyond impressive and god am I thankful for it. I implore that you all should try this level, at least attempt a 78% - 100% run to see if this would interest you in any way. This level is a joy I wish more people shared with me, and I hope my journey with it perhaps opened some eyes to how incredible this level is and convinces a few of you to take the leap yourself to attempt to take this on.
