Narrated by 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions If a person is standing at a place and his all parts are wet but with no intention then his wudu will be invalid. The Commentary of the above Hadith is Prophet (SAW) said that for every action intention is the condition. Without it, the action doesn’t have any existence, and intention is the name of the decision of heart, No words are said by the tongue. Making a decision that “I am making wudu for prayer (salat) so that I could offer and could attain purity” this decision of heart is called intention.
