Greg Koch (born June 23rd, 1966) is an American guitarist, and famous online guitar playing personality, who (since the beginning of 2019) has had a unique signature guitar with Reverend guitars (built in South Korea). Hailing from Wisconsin, Greg is a true guitarists guitarist; a hard working musician who has his own signature overdrive pedal, a signature amplifier, and of course this lovely signature guitar. Notably, Koch had a longstanding relationship with the Fender instrument Company, which subsequently led to his affiliation with Wildwood guitars (out of Colorado), where he has demoed instruments on Youtube since 2011. His newest group the Koch Marshall Trio (featuring his son Dylan on drums and Toby Lee Marshall on B3 organ) melds blues, jazz and country with an exciting funky sound, that has proven to be very successful. Guitar featured: Greg Koch signature Gristlemaster by Reverend guitars in "Blucifer". Slightly enlarged Korina T style bound body with raised centre ridge and small tone chamber under the pick guard, Fishman Signature Greg Koch Gristle-Tone Fluence pickups with charging cable and USB access, traditional T style control plate with the addition of a push push button for midrange/boost function, Wilkinson Staggered brass saddle bridge, roasted maple Medium Oval C shaped neck with compound radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, 43 MM at the nut, ping locking tuners. We also featured Lucas's G&L parts castor guitar for an A/B Active vs. traditional single coil comparison! #ReverendGristlemaster #GregKoch #FishmanGristle-Tone Pickups This Reverend guitar sounds absolutely amazing, and is packed full of one of a kind features. Though not expensive in the grand scheme of guitars, it's not cheap, and depending on your budget this may be something to consider. Do you like the Reverend Gristlemaster guitar based on what you've heard online, and have you ever tried one yourself? Would you fork out the extra $ for a set of these dead silent Gristle-tone pickups, or do you prefer traditional single coils like those found in this G&L?
