How Noticing One Colour Gave My Photos New Depth

This week, when I went out to take photos, I noticed something unusual... One colour kept popping up! I noticed it coming up more and more, and it became quite interesting to notice it. Here's what happened and the lessons from it. This is part of my series of a challenge to do street photography on one street every week. One week, One Street, One Video. This is week 16, Elizabeth Street! Elizabeth Street is a street that I'm quite familiar with, as it was part of my commute for awhile! The walk from Queen Victoria Market all the way to Flinders Street is quite pleasant. It was raining, again. I have so many rainy day photo walks by now. Melbourne has 18 main streets in the CBD, so 2 more to go! For this one I got a new (secondhand) camera! I sold the Q2 that I had, and also sold all my other cameras... for a Leica M11! Yep, I'm in the rabbit hole. It was very interesting to only being able to use manual focus. 🔗 Links Website: https://edn.as/photos/elizabeth-street Instagram:   / sande.jpeg   ⚙️ Gear Used 📸 Photo Camera: Leica M11 📷 Photo Lens: TTArtisan 50mm f1.4 🎥 Video Camera - POV: DJI Action 4 📚 Chapters 0:00 Photo 1 - reflection 0:42 Photo 2 - the eye of the tram 1:26 Photo 3 - rain coat 2:00 Photo 4 - phone lines 2:34 Photo 5 - colour match 2:58 Photo 6 - peek of art 3:28 Photo 7 - alone or together? 4:04 Photo 8 - in the shadows 4:45 Photo 9 - framed too late 5:25 Photo 10 - do not forget 7:04 talking about colour #learningphotography #streetphotography #urbanphotography
