Practicing a lot and practicing efficiently are two seperate things. In this video I go over how I improve in StarCraft 2, and how to make the most of your practice time. The basic idea is to have a certain goal in mind when playing the game. A lot of people complain that they have a hard time laddering because they have a certain ladder anxiety, however, if you try and not let the victory depend on the ladder points that you're getting it is much easier to improve and forget about being scared to ladder altogether. The idea is that you have a goal in mind for each and every game. Instead of jumping on the ladder and mindlessly grinding games, it is much more time efficient to jump on the ladder and focus on one thing at a time. If you play Zerg I would recommend focusing on Queen Injects first. Play a lot of games where you focus purely on Queen injects and move on from there. Add things like spending, build orders and all that, and eventually you will get better at the game.
