Grand Haven is home to the spectacular Grand Haven Musical Fountain show which plays nightly during the tourist season. It is the largest musical fountain in the world. Grand Haven was designated a Coast Guard City, U.S.A. in 1998. Every year during the summer, Grand Haven hosts the Coast Guard Festival which can last for over 2 weeks. There are many various activities and things to do during this time, including a parade of ships, memorials, and an amazing fireworks show to close out the festival.
