In this lecture on operating System services, system calls and OS Structure, we will discuss the operating system services for the user and OS services for the system followed by system calls in Linux and windows and finally the different structures of operating system. Operating system services can be divided into two categories: 1. User services 2. System services The system calls are an interface for the user to access the services provided by the operating system. System calls are routines written in C or C++.
