VIDEO TRANSCRIPT As a runner, do you think much about your recovery? The minute you've walked in the door after a tough run, or maybe you just plunk yourself down on the sofa, put your feet up. Well, today on the running channel, I'm going to be going through a few of our favourite products when it comes to running recovery. Now we're not paid to say nice things about these products, these are just a few of them out there that we want to show you to consider for your own recovery. First up, if you are new to The Running Channel, please do hit subscribe and tap the bell icon, so you get notified when we upload new videos, all about running, which we do every week, but for now, let's dive in and have a look at some of the best running recovery products. So, as I mentioned, this video is going to be looking at some of the products that can help you with your recovery after running. So we're not going to be looking into the nutrition side of things, but stay tuned because at the end we've got a top tip to help you with your recovery. So, first off, we're going to look at the 2XU compression tights. So these ones in particular have this graduated stamping all the way down the leg and then the over foot hooks. So you put your feet in there and your heel pops out on the back as well. So 2XU say that these recovery tights compression tights aim to reduce muscle soreness. In fact, the graduated stamping allegedly gives you 33% improved recovery. So there's lots of science that it goes into on the packaging and on their website as well, around compression tights. There are a lot of studies into the benefits of compression wear for endurance athletes, for runners, and it is a bit mixed as to whether it actually provides a benefit or whether it's a bit of a placebo effect. For me, I wore these after my latest long run training for an upcoming ultra, and I must say that actually I did feel the next day that my legs were less heavy than expected after 44 km run. So I would tend to say that even if it is a placebo effect, it did definitely make my legs feel less like lead the day after when those DOMS kick in. So these leggings are moisture wicking. They also have an SPF rating of 50 +in them too. And they're antibacterial. So all good things when you're going to be wearing leggings, especially if you're going to pop them straight on after you've been running. Maybe if you're at the end of a race and you want to put them straight on afterwards, you've not had a chance to have a shower, that kind of thing.
