S6E1 A New Beginning | I have a new home! | 1995 Casita Deluxe | Full-Time Camper Life

In today's video... I share a huge life update with you. My time is concluding here in north Montana, so I wanted to spend some quality time with the friends I’ve made while being here. Today was one of the last warm days of the year and we had summer life temperatures! Ronni invited me to go fishing, but we don’t have the best luck catching things, if you’ve seen my video from last year, but it was awesome to get outside with Pike and enjoy one of the last days filled with warmth of 2024. While we didn’t catch anything, we had a peaceful day hanging out on the water. For so long, every time we’ve been around water, Pike has always tried to herd Agron, so today was the first time I have seen him simply play. He swam, chased sticks, and had so much fun. It was really special to see him after so long of grief. However, it looks like the other day when my camera fell in the wind, it messed up my lens, so half of the screen is focused, and the other half isn’t. The water was so shallow, so we were able to walk from bank to bank and see cool fish, rocks, and birds. We even got to slip in the mud a few times. I’m so thankful for Ronni. She’s been a wonderful friend to me these last two seasons. She’s taught me so much about her heritage and simply appreciating the land. Montana is full of big emotional mountains. I think that’s why I feel like it’s right that I’m here. I came here shortly after Jethro died, and now, I’m here while Agron died. I think there’s a story with these mountains. They’ve seen thousands of years’ worth of tears, they’ve watched the circle of lifetime and time again, and they’ve watched as people make mistakes, find love, and experience new firsts. It’s allowed me the opportunity to look at this creation differently and appreciate the gift of life. Whether it’s learning phrases and words in their native language or simply stopping to thank the eagle for showing himself, it all makes me very thankful. I had the opportunity to return to the St Mary KOA near East Glacier National Park and help them close up for the season. I was here this time last year and despite recent events, it feels right being here. I had every intention of staying in a RV/Tent site and living in the 4Runner, but management allowed me the privilege to live in one of their employee houses for free while here. As such, Agron’s last days were in a temperature controlled and comfortable home. I’m here in remote Montana. A place that I fell in love with back in 2018 when I planned an epic trip through South Dakota, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and of course, Glacier National Park. Ever since I took that first road trip with Pike to Colorado, I was hooked on the majestic wonders this world has to offer. I’ve never felt so alive, or so small, but regardless, it created memories that will last a lifetime. It unlocked a lifelong desire to travel, see new things, and test my grit with unpredictable circumstances. Often times, I receive questions from followers, friends, and even family about what my why is. Why do I continue to stay out on the road, despite the various challenges. My answer is simple. God allowed me to have the heart of a dreamer and the will to carry it out. Now, my life isn’t about me and what I want, but rather, what I can do for the greater cause from above. However, I do believe that God uses our desires to carry out his plan, and as such, here I am. To take it a step further, I also believe that I shouldn’t sit idle and watch life pass by. Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 sums it up nicely. “Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the works of God, the maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.” Now, I’ve had a lot of plans fall apart at the seams, but I just pick one foot up and try again. I think it’s important to change the definition of fail. Because failing doesn’t have to mean you failed… it can also mean, that plan didn’t work, so let’s try this one! I believe that God is for me, not against me, so if something doesn’t work out, or a door is closed, I’m learning to thank him for closing the door and that rejection might be his protection. I didn’t find God in a church. While that’s where I first met him, that’s not where I was called. Do you want to support the journey, chat directly with me, or access my favorite GPS locations?
