Houston's First Baptist Church is proud to present the 16th Annual Houston Christmas Pageant! This years production is called 'The Greatest Celebration' and is indeed one of the most memorable of the Pageants. Taking place in December of 1985, this years event looks ahead to 1986, which was when Texas would celebrate its Sesquicentennial (150th Birthday) as a state. Act 1 begins by taking a look at how Texans lived their lives during those early years as a new state. Then proceeds to honor those men and women who continue to make Texas a great to this day with a parade of heroes. And of course, Act 1 would not be complete without the singing of the great songs of Christmas by the 450 member choir and orchestra.
