Collider Arrow Recap and Review Season 4 Episode 18 - "Eleven-Fifty-Nine"

The Collider Arrow recap show discusses episode 18, “Eleven-Fifty-Nine,” with series regulars Ann Campea, Josh Macuga, Michael Medina, and Jason Inman. This week on the Collider Arrow recap show, Ann Campea, Josh Macuga, Michael Medina, and Jason Inman catch up on the hit CW series discussing tonight’s all-new episode. After months of speculation and the latest promotion from CW claiming "the end of an era," this week's episode is a culmination of what we have all been waiting for all season long, the big reveal of whom is in the grave. Thanks to Andy, Oliver and Diggle discover that Merlyn wants to break Darhk out of prison. We quickly learn that Merlyn's motivation is to protect himself and daughter, Thea from Genesis. After handing over the totem to Darhk, Malcolm is told that there is still a missing piece to the totem, a jewel that the team smartly decided to hide separate from the totem. All the while, Oliver has his suspicions about trusting Andy, which causes a rift between Diggle and Oliver. While battling Darhk and his minions during his planned prison break, Andy shows his true colors, revealing that he, in fact, has been working with Darhk and was in possession of the jewel that gives the totem its power. Darhk quickly regenerates more power by sacrificing lives and breaks out of prison with 50 inmates under his control. Meanwhile, Laurel gets a surprising offer from Ruve Darhk to become District Attorney of Star City. Laurel struggles with whether or not she wants to give up the mantle of Black Canary for her dream job. She comes to terms with having to sacrifice her dream job to continue as Black Canary, which is something she reveals in her last breaths, is what makes her feel alive. SPOILER (or is it?). Before Laurel "dies," she asks Oliver to make her a promise. We as the audience are not privy to what she asks of Oliver, which now has the recap regulars asking "what is the promise?" rather than "who is in the grave?" How did this episode stack up against the rest? Which one of the recap regulars predicted the fate of whom is in the grave? Did we even see the grave? What is the promise that Oliver made to Laurel? We discuss all of this and lots more on this week’s episode of Collider Arrow! Arrow returns with an all new episode next week on Wednesday, April 27 on The CW.
