The ride will be one of the UK's best dark rides, with special effects never seen before in the UK and a overall immersive experience. This new heavily themed ride will replace Duel - The haunted house strikes back. A previous dark shooting interactive ride, located at Alton Towers Resort. This will be one of many new attractions to Alton Towers this season! Others include a new Retro Squad ride, potentially Nemesis: Sub-Terra returning along with a host of events! A haunting dark ride, taking you on a hair-raising journey through the spectacular twists and turns within the cursed Manor. The abandoned Alton Manor, repossessed under mysterious circumstances, invites you inside. Have your wits about you, uncover the story of Emily Alton, and ride deeper into the historic Manor. She just wants to play. Repossessed under mysterious circumstances, you the visitors, are now invited inside. Between towering trees in ancient woodland, pass by the many gravestones within Gloomy Wood as you prepare to step into the gothic home, steeped in a dark history. Laid in rest for over a century, its foreboding exterior draws you inside. But be careful, an evil within is now awakening. Left alone in the attic, with nothing but her doll's house to keep this quiet but curious girl amused. Emily becomes lonely and forgotten, with nothing but the sound of music and laughter of the parties, hosted by her parents to the high of society, echoing through the floors from the grand hall below. Her hatred grew, fuelled by frustration and bitterness. Dark forces began to surround Emily, becoming a vessel for the evil that has seeped into every corner of the Manor. UPDATES: Nemesis: Sub-Terra: A Height board has been spotted outside Nemesis: Sub-Terra, could this make for the potential return of this attraction? At this point it feels like Alton are really teasing the addition of this new attraction! Enterprise: Enterprise has now been removed from the resort. The area has been bricked over, and the NEW Retro Squad ride will be in this place, next to the Smiler. Congo River Rapids: The ride has received some TLC over this closed season, with new speakers, new soundtrack, and the waterfalls have been cleared up. Could this mean that the waterfalls are returning for 2023? Its been rumoured that they will be returning this year, lets hope so! Nemesis: Construction walls are now up and the track as been fully removed. Footer foundation work has already started! They sure are working at a quick rate! Runaway Mine Train: The front entrance has been refurbished and the op cabin has had the sign "choo choo" added! What a great addition! Rides (Open in the usual season): Wicker Man: Join the chosen ones on the world’s most immersive rollercoaster experience to date, unifying cutting edge special effects with classic wooden coaster technology for the first time! Nemesis: Inverted on the track, Nemesis carries dangling thrill seekers around 250 tonnes of tangled steel. Ride one of the best rollercoasters in the UK as it corkscrews, spins and loops.
