Eddy Current Thinning Curve

This helpful video by Joe Clasen demonstrates how to set up an impedance plane eddy current test instrument to observe a thinning curve for aluminum. Thinning curves are also called thickness curves. These curves follow spiral loci CCW as thinning increases, and CW as thickness increases. Increasing thickness will keep rotating CW on the thickness locus until the material is infinitely thick (which means eddy currents cannot detect further increases in thickness).
