Knock knees or genu valgum is the deformity of the knees wherein there is inward bending at the knee joint and the ankles are separated more than normal. Knock knees are physiological. So when you are a child, knock knees are a normal developing process. When a child is 2 -3 years of age, the patient or the child will gave knock knees or slight genu valgum, where the knees will be touching each other and the angle between the knee and the ankle is increased.
