😎✏️ Activity Bundle Download → https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/P... In this standards-aligned video lesson, we will be learning all about ecosystems. We will first learn about the types of living organisms and non-living matter that exists in the ecosystem. Then, we will look at how matter cycles through the ecosystem, and how every part of the ecosystem is important to the survival of other organisms. Finally, we will look at some Food Webs, and the three categories that organisms are sorted into: the Producers, Decomposers, and Consumers. Students will be supported with downloadable video notes, as well as several extension activities, like the Challenge Page (extension worksheet) as well as Discussion Slides and a digital assessment. (NGSS) Next Generation Science Standards 5-LS2-1: Develop a model to describe the movement of matter among plants, animals, decomposers, and the environment. Clarification Statement: Emphasis is on the idea that matter that is not food (air, water, decomposed materials in soil) is changed by plants into matter that is food. Examples of systems could include organisms, ecosystems, and the Earth. MS-LS2-3: Develop a model to describe the cycling of matter and flow of energy among living and nonliving parts of an ecosystem. Clarification Statement: Emphasis is on describing the conservation of matter and flow of energy into and out of various ecosystems, and on defining the boundaries of the system. #EcosystemsEducation #FoodWebs #ProducersConsumersDecomposers #ScienceLesson #NGSS5LS21 #MSLS23 #stem #videolesson #ngss #ecosystemsforkids #ecosystems #4thgrade #sciencelesson #MatterCycling #EnergyFlow #ScienceEducation #DigitalLearning #STEMeducation #EnvironmentalScience #BiologyLesson #TeachersOfScience #DistanceLearning #InteractiveScience #LearningResources #OnlineEducation
