City of Angels - James Naughton, Gregg Edelman

Filmed in 1990 at Kennedy Center Honors for Billy Wilder, the stars of "City of Angels" present a scene from the Tony Award Winner for Best Musical of that year. James Naughton (Won the Tony for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical) portrays Stone, a fictional film noir detective involved in an investigation taking him on a turbulent ride. Gregg Edelman (nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical) plays Stine, the author writing the screenplay in colorful LA finding his detective has a thing or two to say about the script. Shawn Elliott (Pancho Vargas in Hollywood, Lt. Manny Munoz in the film) has some issues with former friend, Stone. The scene was presented at the Kennedy Centers Honors for Billy Wilder in 1990 and introduced by Walter Matthau. Features the Cy Coleman, David Zippel song "You're Nothing Without Me."
