The 2024-25 charter season kicked off with a bang with United Airlines bringing in the University of Kansas football team using their Airbus A321neo! This was not only the first visit of United's A321neo to CMI but any Airbus NEO aircraft. United has historically used 737-800s, -900ERs, and 757-300s for sports charters into CMI but, as I learned from the Captain, the A321neos will be used more frequently.
