1958 Martin D-28 : Vintage Tones from Nazareth PA

Sweet old Martin box that found its way in the other day. I love spending some time with as many vintage guitars as I possibly can. It really gives a frame of reference for the guitars that are being made now, and also how a well-built instrument will age over time. This D-28 was played a lot through the years, and it certainly has a pretty cool vibe and energy about it. And yes, Brazilian Rosewood is a pretty damn good tonewood if I do say so myself! As a point of historical reference, Joni Mitchell's D-28 was a 1956, so yes I did have to put this in some open tunings and play around. It sounded wonderful, hopefully I'll be able to make a video of that soon. Recorded with Shure KSM32, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Logic Pro, no additional processing.
