I run a audio hire company & we do a lot of outdoor events. In the past we've used the L1 Model 2's on battery/inverter packs but it's been problematic in that they require a massive battery/inverter to handle the sudden current peaks. We were able to use them with a 2,000w inverter & 100ah battery but it wasn't bulletproof. (We were able to run the L1 Compacts no problem with a 150w inverter.) A friend of mind (David) just got the L1 Pro 32 & was curious to know how it would run of a battery pack so we gave it a try. We used a 600w inverter with 50ah battery. The results seem quite good. I think if you were going to run it really hard then you'd want maybe a 1,000w inverter but it seems like the new L1 model must have a more efficient amp in it. The video was a bit rushed as the light was fading but I hope it helps others who are thinking of using the L1 Pro's outdoors.
