Strymon NightSky – Sequencer Examples Demo

Learn More About NightSky ► https://strymon.net/nightsky Order Now ► https://store.strymon.net/nightsky In this video, you will see and hear several examples of the creative possibilities using the eight-step sequencer built into NightSky Time-Warped Reverberator. ======================= Time-Warped Reverberator. Create vast soundscapes with just a few notes from your instrument. Apply mind-bending pitch and harmonic manipulation to your reverb tails, with synth-like filter sweeps. Enter a world of new sounds that blow away the boundaries of what is possible with reverb. With pioneers and adventurous sonic explorers in mind we created a reverb pedal that can go where none have gone before. Reverberant Synthesis Machine. NightSky is a reverberant synthesis workstation, and a powerful, hands-on experimental sound design platform. NightSky gives you real-time continuous control of reverb pitch/processing rate/core size, harmonics, and even a synth-like resonant filter with multiple modulation waveshapes, plus a step sequencer with variable glide. You haven’t heard a pedal like this before. ======================= Chapters: 00:00 Warp Factor 01:19 Silent Stars 02:16 Descending 03:05 Nebula 04:08 Grains 04:42 Moonlight Rollerway 05:33 Shadows 06:22 Taireva ======================= Clip Descriptions: "Warp Factor" by Matt Piper Post Drive creates rich overdriven harmonics for a slowly modulated low pass filter with a high Q setting. Higher Decay lengths push the reverb into further saturation. "Silent Stars" by Matt Piper A long Decay setting and reflections from the Sparse reverb work together with portamento to produce interesting results, while a square adds movement to the pitch. The Post Drive adds rich dynamic harmonics and reduces the fidelity in a pleasing way. "Descending" by Josh Forbes A sequence uses half step intervals to create a "whammy bar" effect as the reverb signal changes pitch temporarily, only to be replaced by the incoming audio. "Nebula" by Matt Piper A major triad (held using the Infinite footswitch) is sequenced with a slow portamento, creating a synth-like pad to play over while a slight Shimmer interval creates a chorus-like effect. "Grains" by Josh Forbes The unique response of the Sparse texture is just the start in this example featuring the Infinite function and the sequencer. "Moonlight Rollerway" by Josh Forbes The regenerating octaves and fast pitch modulation create a carnival-like atmosphere for this sequence programmed for maximum amusement. "Shadows" by Josh Forbes The transposition of a maj7 chord through the sequencer creates an interesting series of harmonies to play over. "Taireva" by Josh Forbes Two NightSky pedals respond to MIDI note changes to control the pitch, recreating a traditional Zimbabwean song.
