Final Spirit of Tasmania Departure from Melbourne Station Pier, Port Melbourne October 2022 Welcome! It's been a while. Anyways, today we capture the final departure of the Spirit of Tasmania from Station Pier on the 22nd of October, 2022. Beginning the next day, the Spirit would dock at their new port at Corio Quay. We capture the ship as they prepare for undocking they finally reverse out of the port on last time to the tune's of the horn. The weather was rather unfavorable being cold and windy with rain just around the corner, but the show must go on. Usually a video like this would be timelapsed with music, but to capture the essence of the surroundings of the day, it has been chosen to just speed up particular clips and leave the standalone audio. The departure of the vessel marks the end of regularly scheduled vessels to docked at Station Pier, once one of the main ports for Melbourne, along with Princes Pier.
