One of the five founding clubs of the USGA, The Country Club has a significant place in American golf but hasn't hosted an Open since Curtis Strange's playoff victory in 1988. We sit down with golf architect Gil Hanse to discuss his team's long-term work at the club which has helped expose the rugged New England terrain and re-introduce a devilish short Par-3 by adjusting the ever-evolving championship routing.
