Welcome to the most magical place around, where wonder meets the wild, aka the channel’s debut of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As you would on a regular visit, we'll be going through the park just as you'd see it in real life, and it all kicks off with The Oasis & Discovery Island. First off, the former of the two, though I don’t know exactly when it opened, the Oasis is basically the equivalent of Magic Kingdom’s Main Street USA. This lush, and I mean lush tropical paradise contains lots of foliage, peaceful waterfalls, many rare and intriguing forest inhabitants, and honestly, it just offers a well needed break from the crowds. On the other hand, Discovery Island essentially serves as the main hub of the park connecting to each of the sections via bridges over the Discovery River though it has a slightly different backstory. Originally called the tree of life gardens, its residents were instead chosen for their unique shapes, forms, and colors, in order to show off species diversity here on earth.
