I love aquariums where the plants grow above the water’s surface. I like thinking outside the box. These types of aquariums look very natural and are easy to maintain. The emerging plants help remove excess nutrients from the water, keeping the aquarium algae-free. I’ve built a small 28-liter aquarium like this, housing shrimp and nano fish.
