Peruvian Foreign Minister Diego Garcia Sayan said Bush's visit should not be seen as "the arrival of Santa Claus," but more as an opportunity to further the common goals of both countries. Bush is due to arrive in Lima on Saturday at three in the afternoon (20:00 GMT) and then depart for El Salvador the next day. Sayan explained that politically speaking, Peru is looking for an American reaffirmation of their pursuit for democracy and human rights.
