My Diesel Heater in a Box Build

This is my version of a Chinese diesel heater in a box build. I forget which diesel heater I purchased off Amazon but it was one with the best reviews I could find. I decided to go with a DeWalt tool box to house the heater as it was able to contain everything. I wasn't keen on those builds that had the diesel tank on the outside of the box. I will say, if I were to do it again I would probably go with a larger box unless I all of a sudden grew little 12 year old girl hands. It was super tight quarters to try and work around and had to remove this to fit that and then not secure this piece until I was able to tighten that piece. I think you get the picture. The other thing where a larger box may help is with the stock exhaust pipe. It's 24" long and a larger box would have made that installation easier as well. The trick with the exhaust pipe is you want to keep it as straight as possible because more bends creates more restrictions which causes more heat build up in the exhaust. The other purchase which wasn't mentioned at the beginning was the 12 V plug noted later in the video. I also purchased a hose clamp that is finger tightened for the heater hose I will be taking on and off for use (yellow finger tightener). I have the lighter 12 V attachment that can work with my portable battery pack or off the accessory panel I created for my dual truck battery. Oh yeah, the new diesel tank is 7 L compared to the 10 L tank that comes with the diesel heater. Let me know what you think. Cheers and get out there and explore (safely)
