With rapid electrification on this section, it is only a matter of time before the peaceful diesel section is riddled with wires and soulless electric locos. I hope this series of videos will serve as a nostalgic reminder of more beautiful times. Track sounds on Konkan Railway are in a league of their own, and I have tried to record sounds at every speed between standstill and 90kph. All videos recorded on board the Bangalore-Karwar Express (which had an Erode WDM3D) using a GoPro Hero 5 Black and Zoom H1n.
