Sorsogon City, Sorsogon October 17, 2024 As part of his visit to the Province of Sorsogon, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspects two (2) infrastructure projects in Sorsogon City on October 17, 2024. The President visits the Sampaloc Tenement, composed of two (2) buildings with 32 shelter units, each intended for informal settlers residing in Barangay Sampaloc. As of 9 October 2024, the first building is now completed while the second building is expected to be finished by May 2025. Afterward, President Marcos Jr. proceeds to the Sorsogon National Government Center (SNGC) for a briefing and inspection of the building. Now fully operational, it serves as a one-stop shop for residents transacting with various government agencies and other financial institutions. Among the agencies holding office at the SNGC are the Bureau of Treasury, Veterans Office, PhilHealth, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Cooperative Bank, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) and the Philippine National Bank (PNB).
