obviously i dont actually have any beef with this guy i dont actually hate him at all (i really mean it) you fell for my thumbnail ""ragebait"" (its not ragebait? idk im dmb) this might get me negative googol social points or something tfw when i realise he actually made a full on ost based on 'Gimmick!''s 32nd birthday (it was 1 hour long) and not just 2-3 original songs out of many covers he did but seriously though i kinda got sidetracked on a fnf song i was making but then i thought... hmmm... should i try and do the style of heemin? this shouldn't take that long... right? wrong it took 2 weeks this is made in beepbox 2.3 where the max channels are 6 pitch channels and 2 noise channels with up to 10 instruments in each channel, of which instruments can only be swapped per bar for some reason when i rendered the oscilloscope there is all these supersonic artefacts even though they were not here at all when i was previewing the oscilloscope and still remains even when i upgraded my corrscope to 0.10.0 so you dont get to see my real supersaw epicness {:((((((((( turns out its not exactly a heemin style song but rather a beepbox 2.3 test i guess g minor g minor g minor i abused custom interval quite a lot in this song (normally in chip wave you can only do custom interval of 2 notes), using it to make bells, and chords in one channel actually i abused a lot of the 'custom' envelope, i.e. note size of which i used it to make dynamism and sine to saw in supersaws, modulation in something that doesn't even have modulation; i used it to make drum bases and sub bass in the same channel, as i used empty notes for each sine sweep (as i had the operators lined up like steady custom custom custom), 'eq' filters used in channel 1 instrument 1 and for electric guitars where the modulator can be toned down with the custom envelope, as well as the chords for the sine to saw modulation and yes there is note volume modulation for fm instruments its just you have to use custom on the carriers instruments also took quite a lot of time as i was messing around randomly generating instruments in bb3.0.13 but yet again this showcases theoretically the best you can go in 2.3 i could've also got dubstep in there (custom note size allows this) or even 12/8 but i guess i didnt cuz i wanted to conserve my power ig ig bb2.3 is a step forward on ym2612 and also a step backward it was posted a day ago btw and made public a day later https://tinyurl.com/3n53yfkm (slightly compressed 2.3 link)
