A look at life in the '60s with this compilation of six shorts made by Rank in the Look at Life film series. Presented by Rob Curling from Brooklands Aircraft musuem, we are treated to such gems as AIR HOSTESS all about an early trolley dolly working out of a very unhurried London Airport (Heathrow). CONTROLLED LANDING takes us inside the valve-driven control tower at Heathrow while a Comet 4 is talked down in fog (well that is what it purports to do). CITY OF THE AIR is all about the everyday operations of early Heathrow. FLYING TO WORK looks at individuals taking to the skies to travel to work in their own aricraft (fixed and rotary wing). THE SPIRIT OF BROOKLANDS looks at the Vickers aircraft factory which produced amongst others the VC10 ariliner. Finally, no compilation would be complete without a look at Farnborough and FIlton. THE BIG TAKE OFF looks at all sorts of aircraft including the "140 seat Concorde". Amazing stuff and all 100% colour cinema quality film originals. DVD price? Just £10. There is also the Military Aviation version from RAF Hendon museum. To buy either, or both, log onto Video125.co.uk or tel 01344 628565.
