RWNYC 2022 Exeter Cathedral is the second heaviest ring of 12 bells (72 cwt) which made it all the more exciting to ring at during RWNYC 2022. Unfortunately, the clapper fell out of the tenor during the day but, we got the rare opportunity to ring on a minor 11 instead! For many ringing on 12 is especially difficult, hence why the rounds is a bit off to begin with, but it does settle down eventually. I had an attempt at ringing jump call changes which baffled me completely as I was struggling to know which bell was which! It is a wonderful building to adventure up to the ringing chamber as you go in-between the ceiling and the roof and then climb a few more stairs to get to the chamber. Even though the tenor wasn't in a safe state to ring, it was still an amazing experience to ring at the second heaviest peal of bells in the world!
