Restoration of a big old hammer from Forsbacka FJ AB Stål, Sweden. I found this hammer in an old shed. It had a lot of scuffs and marks on it so I knew there was going to be a lot of sanding. Someone had also mounted the head backward. I removed the rust and old paint with electrolysis. The front side of the hammerhead had the manufacturer's stampings. I wanted to keep this so I only went over it with the wire wheel. The rest of the hammerhead was sanded and lastly polished to get a mirror finish. The old handle had a crack so I replaced it with a new one.
