After fishing for piranhas and swimming in Peru's Amazon River (with who knows what), we decided to continue on with trying crazy new things, since we’d probably only be in the Amazon rainforest once. On day three, we agreed to eating the suri, which are large, chubby grubs that the Peruvian locals of the jungle enjoy eating for its great health benefits. And to follow that, on day four in the Amazon, we agreed to holding a large tarantula to end our wild adventure in the rainforest. We did so many crazy things that were far out of our comfort zones, and we had no regrets for any of it. Our time in Peru's Amazon will be one that we look back on and laugh about for many years years to come. We are so grateful to have had this experience in the jungle.
