Enjoy a ride on Kilimanjaro safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. This safari ride opened April 22, 1998, the same day Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park opened. We get on the safari at 8:30am right when it opened in the morning, which in my opinion is the best time to ride the safari. This is because the animals are more active in the mornings, and most are out eating, and the mornings is not as hot than the middle of the day. Our driver was great and the updated script was amazing, we loved it during this ride.
