Southern Cross to Tarneit Timelaps The First Service on the Regional Rail link Regional Trains Hello All, Today we have a Timelapse Video. The full time of recorded was 22 minutes. This was the first public scheduled service to operate on the RRL (Regional Rail Link) to have departed from Southern Cross. This train would run through the new tracks between South Kensington and Sunshine and break off from the Melton/Ararat line at Deer Park. As a treat the train was ran by 3 two-carriage V/locity trains which is soon to be upgraded to three-carriage DMU Units.
