Air Power Demonstration 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show

The Naval Air Power Demo showcased the abilities of the US Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornet at the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show. Shot on Saturday, September 21. The F/A-18 Hornet family of aircraft has many variants that are used throughout the US Navy and Marine Corps. These include the F/A-18C/D "Legacy" Hornet, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, and the EA-18G Growler. This demo featured several of the Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornets stationed at Oceana. There were 3 from the VFA-83 Rampagers, 2 from the VFA-105 Gunslingers, and 2 from the VFA-103 Jolly Rogers. Pyrotechnics were provided by Firewalkers International to emulate air strikes on ground targets. The demo included BFM (Basic Fighter Maneuvers), Air-to-Ground engagement, and mid-air refueling. In addition, the entire group participated in the fleet flyby with one of the Jolly Rogers sneaking by. Thanks for watching! Enjoy! :)
