Well illuminated

You wait ages for a new vid, then this tosh turns up. Anyway, here’s proof that despite what you may think of our electrical professionalism (?!), sometimes we have to think on the fly, especially if the job is unusual or site-unseen. Such is the case here where we are required to illuminate a well uncovered as a feature in the kitchen of a basement flat in a Leamington townhouse. This is something that was tricky to plan for as I hadn’t seen the well since May when things were still in a state of demolition, so various parts were thrown on the van to accommodate how we could perhaps undertake the job. The lights used were an all plastic construction from Toolstation, so pretty cheap and cheerful: https://www.toolstation.com/coast-wel... Will they cut the mustard? Honestly, I don’t know. So much garden, exterior or supposed IP lighting is so poorly manufactured these days and starts corroding if you so much as sneeze by it, so maybe plastic is a safer bet. What the hell, we’re the ones who warranty it, so it’s our problem if it fails in at least the first two years. I didn’t want to go integrated in case I wasn’t happy with the light and it needed adjusting, as this did, and I don’t much trust integrated which, when it fails, means changing the whole bally fitting rather than just a lamp. The cable used was 3183 (H05): https://www.toolstation.com/pitacs-we... Oh, and Nick Bundy wasn’t really in this video – don’t be fooled like I was.
