Gelli Print Layers with DIY Leaf Masks

I know that some people don’t have that many stencils, textures or designs to add to the Gelli plate, so I wanted to show you how you can make your own leaf masks from copy paper. These can be as easy or detailed as you prefer and they can be whatever size you want. I decided to use my 5”x7” Gelli plate and blocked my Gelli print designs onto an 8.5” x 11” piece of 110lb Neenah White Cardstock. I used my Golden Fluid Acrylics for the beautiful color quality and was able to turn the transparent colors into opaque colors using Titan Buff. At the end of the video I added in some black paint pen doodles to showcase some of the beautiful leaf shapes. I hope this inspires you to try combining textures and colors that you may not normally put together to see what wonderful surprises you achieve in your prints.
