Recipe #1 (the one used in this video) 48 oz All Veg Shortening (generic crisco) 18 oz Coconut oil 21 oz Olive oil 3 oz Castor oil 12.5 oz Sodium Hydroxide (100% lye) 24 oz Distilled Water This recipe has a 5% superfat. Additives: 1T Cane Sugar & 1 T Table Salt, dissolved in water before adding lye. 1 tsp. Hibiscus Flower powder, 1 tsp. Turmeric powder, 2 T Buttermilk powder (added to melted oils before lye).
