Byala is a small resort town in Bulgaria. The coastline near the town is a combination of rocky coastline, small bays and beaches with sand dunes. In general, the beaches are narrow. The first settlement in the Byala area probably arose in the 6th century BC. around the bay of Cape St. Atanas. This is evidenced by the results of underwater archaeological research at this site. The paleogeological monument of the White Rocks is located on the territory of the town. The natural-geological phenomenon of the White Rocks is an object of high scientific and ecological value. Laboratory analysis of the layers revealed that a thin layer was formed after the Earth collided with a large meteorite 65 million years ago.
