How to make traditional diyas at home | Indian traditional clay-oil lamps

Terracotta clay diyas. The festival of lights is coming up and it's incomplete without diyas (traditional clay lamps). Make them, fire them and the use it as it is it hand paint it in bright beautiful colors. I prefer using them in the natural terracotta colour just after it's fired. Clay used: Laguna red low fire earthen ware clay without grog. Firing (Bisque) at cone 06. Wire used: Nichrome wire gauge 28 for stick beads and ghungroo beads; gauge 26 for earrings and 24 for pendants. Paints used: Acrylic paints (Master's touch, folk art and Anitas) Brushes: 00,2,4,6 sizes round tip synthetic brushes. I use multiple brands. Varnish used: https://www.amazon.com/DecoArt-DS21-9...
