This is a video of two of the steam powered locomotives opperating at Busch Gardens Africa. There's a total of three steam engines at the park but only three are allowed on the track while the fourth is getting a complete overhaul. All of the trains at BGA use propane, instead of coal to heat the water. It should be noted that these trains are the scaled down versions of the ones that were typically used in Africa. This railroad opened on July 1, 1971 as the Zuma Express. There are four trains at BGA, two are original and two came from other parks. They all run on a 36 inch gauge track with a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement. That means there are four guide wheels, four drive wheels, and no trailing wheels on the engine. This video contains the two trains that are from other parks. The Yellow train #5 came from Six Flags St Louis and the Green train #601 came from King's Dominion just north of Richmond, VA.
