With an area of over 67 acres, the park is one of the largest in the Lahore city. The name Gulshan-e-Iqbal is literally translated as "The Garden of Iqbal" referring to Allama Iqbal, the national poet of Pakistan. It has many recreational rides for children & adults making it a popular venue for families. It also features a vast artificial lake and a mini-zoo. There is a Jogging Track, Playing Area, Waterfall, Boating Place, small restaurants and ice cream bars for food enjoyment as well. The marigold garden and tulip garden inside the park are excellent. The park is well maintained by the PHA (Parks and Horticulture Authority), with new playing areas and rides being added recently due to increased public interest. Explore Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park and enjoy the sense of peace it provides. It offers spacious areas for jogging and picnicking, as well as a playground area for kids, admire the animals housed at the onsite zoo, and then enjoy a picnic by the side of the lake.
