Scarborough Armed Forces Day 2022 Red Arrows, RAF Falcons, Spitfire And Hurricane

Scarborough Armed Forces Day 2022 Red Arrows, Raf Falcons, Spitfire And Hurricane Did You Go To Scarborough Armed Forces Date ? What were your highlights?? After a late night photographing the sunset at Whitby on Friday night, myself and Riley Roo were up early on Saturday for a short trip across the moors to Scarborough. Despite concerns about traffic congestion and parking, we drove through almost car-less streets and got parked easily in The Brunswick Centre. We headed straight to a packed Scarborough South Bay to watch the amazing armed forces day. First up were the absolutely awesome RAF Falcons which descended from the heights with red white and blue smoke trailing behind. Its always interesting to see how a young child reacts to something they haven't seen before, and in-between photos I kept an eye on Riley who was cheering and clapping loudly along with the loud applause coming from around us. Riley's response made me think that the Falcons would be the highlight of his day, but there was a lot more to come yet. We watched the armed forces parades, whilst Helicopters, Spitfires and Hurricanes flew in the sky. We quickly grabbed coffee and a bite to eat before heading to Scarborough pier to watch the red arrows. I gave Riley my phone which read 12.57, I told him that at 13.00 he was in for something very special. Right on time The Red Arrows flew into the bay high in the sky above The Grand Hotel. The display was, as expected, and as it always is, absolutely amazing. The Red Arrows never disappoint, and when I asked Riley at the end of his day what his favourite thing was, it was indeed the Red Arrows with the RAF Falcons a close second he said We made our way back to the car, stopping on the way for Riley's favourite treat, a McDonald's. We were back in Whitby for just after 4pm and treated to a natural display with The Yorkshire Coast Dolphins leaping about in front of the towns beach huts. All in all a fantastic day. Thankyou to Scarborough for an awesome event, and to all those involved for making it such special day.
