Drew’s boots are hand-lasted using old-world techniques and with the best components. The upper leather is made with US hides (from Seidel Tanning Corp) that are 7.5-8oz thick, with full grain veg tanned leather, pre-molded leather insole. The Last is a 55 shoe last used in the PNW boot industry for decades with an added 1/8" to the outside of the last to allow more room in the toe box. The instep is slightly raised to allow an easier foot entry into the boot. The last is pre-molded, over a 48 hours period, to make the boots easy to break-in. They have a veg tanned leather toe box (no plastic or celastic), leather midsole, heel counter, shank and heel base. Boots contain one piece backstay / pull loop, scored midsole to place shank and nails precisely. Manufactured with high-pressure hydraulic press using a press pad which is the exact negative of the Vibram 100 outsole to get an extreme bond to reduce squeaking and delamination.
