What is a Parameter, types of parameters, purpose and limitations of using Parameters in Power BI Reports. There are various benefits of using Parameters in Power Query, Power BI Desktop, Dashboard, and reports. I will explain all the types one by one in this video. Some of the definitions: ▶NUMERIC RANGE With the numeric range slicer and the date range slicer, you can create filters for any numeric or date column in your data model. There are three options for filtering your data: Between numbers or dates. Less than or equal to a number or date. Greater than or equal to a number or date. ▶FIELD PARAMETERS Field parameters allow users to dynamically change the measures or dimensions being analyzed within a report. This feature can help your report readers explore and customize the analysis of the report by selecting the different measures or dimensions they're interested in. ▶QUERY PARAMETERS Parameters give you the flexibility to dynamically change the output of your queries depending on their value, and can be used for: Changing the argument values for particular transforms and data source functions.
