The Echo Dot 4th generation is a smart voice assistant that allows you to ask the device questions, play music, play games or control smart home devices. To setup and install the echo dot 4th generation do the following: 1. If you purchased the device directly from Amazon or from an Amazon store the device will be automatically pre registered to your Amazon account. Amazon scans a bar code on the back of the device to connect that serial number device to your account. Having the device pre registered makes setup easier as it will automatically populate during setup. 2. If you have not already download the Alexa app do so and login with your amazon account information. If you already have the Alexa app login and leave the app open durring setup. 3. With the app open plug the Echo Dot 4th generation in with the provided power cord. 4. The app will show a pop up for the Echo Dot device.
