Sydney Swans Highlights. From Round 1 to Round 23, including Finals. The 2016 AFL Season was fantastic and one of the best in Swans history. The Swans are 6th as of July 2021. Franklin, Hannebery, Rampe, Parker and Kennedy were all named All-Australian while the Swans claimed the minor premiership generating magnificent highlights throughout the year. Who we lost from our finals run: Zak Jones - Traded to St. Kilda Dan Hannebery - Traded to St. Kilda (St. Kilda trades net Gould, Taylor) Toby Nankervis - Traded to Richmond (pick 46, net Jack Maibaum), wins 3 Premierships Tom Mitchell - Traded to Hawthorn with Pick 52 for (Pick 14 and 57, then traded for Pick 9 [Oliver Florent]), Wins 2018 Brownlow Kieren Jack - Retired Jarrad McVeigh - Retired Xavier Richards - Hilariously Requested a failed trade (Homesick) to Melbourne, before getting delisted and joining the Sydney University Team Ted Richards - Retired Ben McGlynn - Retired Heath Grundy - Retired Nick Smith - Retired Jeremy Laidler - Retired to become Development Coach Kurt Tippett - Retired due to injury Gary Rohan - Traded for Pick 62, net Ryan Clarke Overall, it was a sublime season for the Sydney Swans. Some highlighted stats from the year: 15 wins, 151% 1st in kicks, 2nd in Handballs, 1st in Points Conceded and Scores per inside 50, 1st in Contested Possessions, 1st in Inside 50s, 2nd in Contested Marks, 1st in Rebound 50s, 1st in Stoppage Clearances.
