Summertime is finally upon us! We have made it through the spring and lambing season, hauled out of the spring range, and it's time for the best move of all. We’re headed for the mountain. We have grazing permits that allow us to feed our sheep on national forest ground during the summer months. Luckily most of them are relatively close to home. We go from being spread across the entire state of Utah, to being back home on the mountain range that runs by the ranch. It makes for a nice change to have all the sheep close to home again. It is quite the process to get the different herds of sheep on to the summer country, there are a lot of moving parts. Camps, commissaries, semis, horses, corrals, drivers, fuel, breakdowns, and delays all factor into the move from here to there! Come with us as we truck the first herd up to the high country!
