In this segment, we tackled and discussed the constitutional provisions in the Philippines affecting our allocation of land resources, or anchor provisions on land management. These constitutional provisions cover national economy and patrimony which restrict foreign ownership of lands, save in cases of hereditary succession or ownership of former natural-born Filipino citizens under Batas Pambansa blg. 185 and Republic Act No. 8179. We tackled also the social justice and human rights provisions of the constitution on rights of informal settlers as well as those of indigenous cultural communities.
